KBB Video Review: Alfa Romeo 4C
Tags:
Alfas are the epitome of beautiful Italian designs but at the same time they are famous for unexpected breakdowns. However, petrol-heads still love them for their rawness and pure driving bliss. This is further proven by Jeremy Clarkson who stated “You’re not a petrol-head until you have owned an Alfa”. So, Alfa has a lot to live up to.
A while back, they released the Alfa 8C – a limited edition supercar. But that car was infamous for its faults and couldn’t make it big – even with its gorgeous looks. So, Alfa took a bold step and developed a smaller 8C – called 4C. As the name suggests, this has a 4 cylinder engine, though turbocharged, and will be a mass-produced Alfa sports car.
Some short specs of the car:
- 1.8 liter turbo charged engine
- 6 speed dual clutch gearbox
- 240 BHP and 350 Nm of torque
- Mid-engine sports car
- RWD
- Curb weight: 895 kg
- Carbon fiber body
- 0-100 in 4.5 seconds
- Top speed: 258 km/h
This car has been awarded as the "Most Beautiful Car of the Year 2013" at the 29th International Automobile Festival in France. Alfa has recently introduced the drop-top version of the 4C. Surprisingly, we don’t see this beauty on Dubai roads.
