Quick Review

The Hyundai i20 is a small hatchback with a big reputation due to it's good looks, affordability and reliability. New for the 2012 model are cosmetic changes matched with a cleaner and more efficient engine.

The i20 is equipped with a 1.4 liter 4 cylinder engine that is capable of producing 100 horsepower and 136 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission and will achieve 0 – 100 km/h in a satisfactory 16.5 seconds and boasts a top speed of 145 km/h. Although the Hyundai i20 is very easy to drive around town due to it's light steering, drivers who are looking for a good driving experience may be disappointed since it is a slightly boring one in the i20.

In terms of the interior, it is spacious and does boast of touch of glamor. The blue LED light illumination is a nice touch to interior since it is not seen in other cars within the same price range. If you are willing to spend your money on great features, the i20 wont leave you disappointed. With everything from a USB port to a rear view camera and Bluetooth, the i20 has something for everyone. With plenty of storage cubbies around the interior, finding the ideal to store your coffee mug, cell phone and sunglasses will never be an issue.

As for the exterior, although simple it does manage to look great! Boasting a height and width of 1.5 meters and 1.7 meters respectively, the i20 has ample to transport 5 passengers and their cargo in comfort.

If you aren't sold on buying a Hyundai i20 just yet, be sure to check out the Kia Rio, Honda Jazz and Nissan Juke.
