Quick Review

The Chrysler Sebring was a line of midsize sedans produced by Chrysler for over 10 years. Having undergone major cosmetic as well as mechanical changes, it was relaunched in 2011 as the Chrysler 200. The 2012 model however receives no significant upgrades from the 2011 model.

The 200 comes equipped with a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine which is capable of producing 173 horsepower and 225 Nm. The 6 speed automatic transmission will complete 0 – 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and will keep going all the way till 240 km/h.

Having undergone major interior upgrades from it's predecessor the Sebring, the interior of the 200 comprises of higher quality materials and is designed wonderfully! Standard safety features include traction control, front and side airbags, active head restraints and anti-lock brakes. On the downside, boot space and legroom in the rear seats is less than you'd expect from a mid-size sedan. Another issue is the extremely dated and boring digital dials.

In terms of the exterior, it cannot be denied that the Chrysler 200 is a good looking car. It boasts a simple front end and an extremely elegant rear. However, keeping in mind that the mid-size sedan market is already highly competitive, it is unlikely that the looks of the Chrysler 200 will do it justice.

All in all though, the Chrysler 200 is an affordable mid-size sedan with great safety features making it ideal for a small family. Competitors for the Chrysler 200 that you may wish to look at include the Cadillac CTS, Ford Taurus and Infiniti G25.
