The BMW 5 Series is one of the most established executive cars on the market, with legendary BMW handling, build quality and design. It is one of the finest cars that BMW produced and the 2014 5 Series is no different. It follows the footsteps of its predecessors effortlessly. Despite minimal changes to the car itself, it remains the benchmark in its class filled with the Mercedes E Class, Audi A6, Lexus GS, Cadillac CTS and the Jaguar XF.

The 2014 BMW 5 Series is a classic sport sedan and a technology packed powerhouse that delivers a nuanced ride and handling package that eludes a lot of midsize luxury sedans. The 2014 gets some visual body enhancements with a more strongly outlined kidney grille, a sharper tail lamp design and the addition of a Modern or Luxury trim line that revamps the bumper and interior themes. A choice of four turbocharged engines are available, a 2.0 Litre 4 cylinder with either 187 HP or 248 HP, a 3.0 Litre inline 6 with 306 HP and a 4.4 Litre V8 with a colossal 450 HP that could challenge sports cars. As with BMW, driving experience is the most important aspect and the 5 Series is no stranger, an excellent balance between visceral handling and first class ride and comfort made even better with the optional adaptable suspension.

The interior of the 5 Series is a joy to be in, a design that oozes class and luxury while being formal and relaxed, superbly built and a level of refinement that makes anyone envious. Standard equipment is decent, with a ton of options to suit even the pickiest of buyers and a host of integrated tech that keeps the car safe at all times. The iDrive infotainment has been revamped, it is now much less confusing and much easier to use. The 2014 5 Series is still a leader in its class and it has the heritage and the passion that comes with a BMW badge.
