Just like Messi or Ronaldo, 31-year-old Uruguayan Luis Suarez is undeniably one of the gifted ones when it comes to kicking that ball right. However, unlike the other two, Suarez’s car collection isn’t anything to brag about. Maybe, just maybe, he really may not be into exotic cars that much.
1. Audi RS6 Avant Performance
The Audi RS6 Avant Performance is by far the most powerful and expensive car in Suarez’s garage. This rather subtle Audi station wagon houses a not so subtle 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 that develops an astonishing 605 HP, 700 Nm of torque, and some of the best exhaust notes you’ll ever hear!
If prodded with a stick, the Audi RS6 Avant Performance will scamper away to 100 km/h from a standstill in a scarcely believable 3.7 seconds and upon request, Audi will increase the top speed from 250 km/h to 305 km/h.
2. Range Rover Sport
Suarez does own a suave Range Rover Sport but as per our findings, it’s not the mighty, fire-breathing SVR but one with a rather boring 3.0-liter supercharged V6.
The six-cylinder mill in the Range Rover Sport makes a decent 340 horses and 450 torques. However, since this big SUV weighs in at over 2.1 tons, 0-100 km/h takes over 7 seconds and Vmax is also not much higher at a relatively sluggish 209 km/h.
3. BMW X5
Unlike his newer Range Rover Sport, the slightly older BMW X5 that Suarez owns comes with a powerful 4.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 that pushes out 407 HP and 600 Nm of torque.
The 2.3-ton X5 will make the sprint from 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, and go on to hit a top speed of 240 km/h.
4. Cadillac Escalade
The Cadillac Escalade is perhaps the largest car in Suarez’s garage and comes in at over 5.1 meters in length while tipping the scales at 2.6 tons!
Propulsion for this humongous American SUV presents itself in the form of a 6.2-liter, naturally aspirated V8. This motor makes 409 ponies and 565 Nm of pulling power - sufficient enough to move this Caddy to 100 km/h in under 7 seconds, while top speed is 170 km/h. Any quicker, and there might be wake turbulence affecting other motorists.
5. Audi Q7
The Audi Q7 is undeniably the most practical car in this footballer’s driveway. The most important reason why that is the case has to do with the engine under the hood of this German SUV.
Unlike the rest of the cars on this list, Suarez’s Q7 is powered by a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel engine that’s not only fuel-efficient but also ideal for long highway jaunts at triple-digit speeds. This V6 motor makes 245 HP and almost as much torque as the Escalade’s large 6.2 V8. Helped by the Quattro AWD system and an 8-speed auto, this Q7 hits 100 km/h in 8.0 seconds and a top speed of 216 km/h.
