GT86 Convertible Put On Hold Indefinitely

Well this is some unfortunate piece of news. The Toyota GT86 convertible – a wish come true for sports car enthusiasts at the Geneva Motor Show with the launch of the concept – has been delayed indefinitely and there are no plans in place for the near future.

WhatCar? reports that Toyota did not give any particular reasons behind the cancellation but they did make one thing clear – the rigidity of the car was not impressive and adding on more weight would diminish  the car’s agility and performance.

Toyota, however, did point out that the car can go into production if the management decides to give it a green signal. Fingers crossed!
