The victor of the “German Design Award”, the BX5 is a striking crossover that in several ways resembles the hugely popular Volkswagen Tiguan. With large alloys filling the wheel arches and several contours lending it a fluidic stance, the Borgward BX5 is bound to turn some heads as it makes its way down highways and busy streets alike.
Standing at 4,490mm, the 2018 Borgward BX5 is powered by a choice of two engines: a 1.4-liter turbocharged unit that pumps out 148 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, and a slightly beefier 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 188 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. Both engines get mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
